FOR DECADES Mudjacking was the only remedy, short of replacement, for restoring concrete to its original pour height.  Holes of approximately 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" in diameter are drilled through the surface of the concrete at various intervals.  A slurry mud mixture is then pumped through the holes, creating a "pyramid" underneath which lifts the concrete.  The holes are then filled with a concrete patch. Because of the high moisture content in the material used for mudjacking, evaporation is inevitable, and the concrete resettles over time.
 
The invention of Sandjacking™ changes everything.
 
Sandjacking is a patented process which uses patented braces, hydraulics, and air pressure to lift the concrete, while filling the entire cavity underneath with dry limestone sand, often without drilling unsightly holes in the surface of the concrete.
 
So, why is Sandjacking better?
  • No holes are drilled through the surface of the concrete when patented braces can be used to lift the concrete.
  • If it is necessary to drill holes, they are 1/2" to 1" in diameter; also far fewer holes are necessary for Sandjacking.
  • The limestone sand used for Sandjacking flows freely and fills the entire void underneath the concrete, as opposed to the "pyramid" effect you get with mudjacking.
  • Because the limestone sand has less than a 2% moisture content, there is no evaporation.  This greatly reduces the possibility of future settling and allows us to provide a better warranty --- up to 5 years!
In a nutshell . . . . Sandjacking provides a better-looking, more permanent solution than water-based mudjacking.
